Nicki O'Connell has been a photographer for nearly twenty years and a children's photographer for ten years. Black and white photography is Nicki's specialty. Hand coloring on photos is artfully done by hand with oil paints. These are not computerized in any way.

Nicki does a lot of dance photography which involves photoshoots at dance studios and at her studio in Bay Shore, New York. The photos that are done by Nicki do not look like some of those awkward shots you sometimes see in dance recital photos. Because Nicki was a dancer for many years, she knows how to pose ballet students in a way that is simple and elegant.

When you see Nicki in the midst of a photoshoot or in her store, you know she loves children. She is patient, gets children to smile and have fun, and this shows in her work.

Nicki attended the Parsons School of Design in New York City and was written up in the New York Times Review.

Nicki is the mother of three and is not only a successful photographer, but also owns a children's toy and clothing store called Bumblebabies in Bay Shore, Long Island, New York. (Tutus and head pieces are available for Nicki's photoshoots as well as for sale in the store).
